Stay split

2 + 2 + 2 nights

Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam, with Sonmarg as a day trip or flexible extra night.

Day By Day

Your 7-day Kashmir itinerary

Driving times are approximate and depend on traffic, weather, stops and local sightseeing rules. Your driver or travel coordinator should confirm the route on the day.

Day 1

Arrive in Srinagar

Meet your driver at Srinagar Airport, transfer to your hotel or houseboat, and keep the first evening easy. Take an optional Shikara ride on Dal Lake or Nigeen Lake if you arrive early. Avoid packing too much sightseeing into arrival day.

Stay: Srinagar | Suggested focus: rest, lake views and local dinner

Day 2

Srinagar sightseeing

Visit Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi, then choose Shankaracharya Temple, Hazratbal Shrine or Srinagar’s old markets depending on time and energy. Leave room for a sunset lake experience.

Stay: Srinagar | Suggested focus: Mughal gardens, heritage and houseboat life

Day 3

Srinagar to Gulmarg

Drive to Gulmarg, check in, and explore the meadow at a relaxed pace. If you have official Gondola tickets and the weather is suitable, plan Phase 1 or Phase 2 according to your booking. Winter visitors should allow extra time for snow conditions.

Stay: Gulmarg | Approximate drive: 2 to 3 hours

Day 4

Gulmarg mountain day

Use this day for the Gondola if it was not possible on Day 3, or choose a meadow walk, golf course visit, skiing lesson, snow play or scenic photography. High-altitude activities should be paced carefully, especially for children and older travellers.

Stay: Gulmarg | Suggested focus: Gondola, snow sports or alpine walks

Day 5

Gulmarg to Pahalgam

Take the scenic transfer toward Pahalgam, with possible stops around Pampore or along the route depending on the season. Check in near the Lidder River and keep the evening for a gentle walk and rest.

Stay: Pahalgam | Approximate drive: 4 to 5 hours, depending on stops

Day 6

Pahalgam valleys

Explore Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Baisaran according to local transport access, weather and your preferred pace. Local sightseeing vehicles may be required for some routes. Families can choose shorter walks, while active travellers can ask about permitted trails.

Stay: Pahalgam | Suggested focus: meadows, river scenery and pine forests

Day 7

Sonmarg or departure

For a late departure, travel back toward Srinagar and add Sonmarg only if the timing and road conditions make it comfortable. For an early flight, return to Srinagar the previous evening and use Day 7 for breakfast, shopping and airport transfer.

Suggested focus: Sonmarg day trip, flexible buffer or departure

How to adjust this itinerary by season
